Confession....

So I have a confession. some of you may not be familiar with the place I'm about to talk about so I think you should google it on "the google" (as GWBush says).

I LOVE LONG JOHN SILVERS! *sigh* I feel better now. Seriously though, I love it. It's one of the few fast foods I crave and I live in a state in which I can not purchase this readily. I live in the land of "Skippers" which is disgusting. I miss LJS more than....well I'm not sure but I miss it alot.

When I was a child we took a month's long trip across the US and we always seem to end up at LJS's so we started calling it "Gag and Puke" because we ate so much of it. Still, I crave it. It's some of the only non-salmon/tuna-esque fish I will eat. I love the breading and that's the main reason I go there. So I've been here for 3 full days and I have eaten LJS's 2x in the last 48 hours....*sigh*.

My profile picture was taken shortly after one of these trips and also after I got my eyes dilated, hence the stylish eyewear. The outfit just seemed "right".

Home...

Home again...
So I'm home again. By home I mean with Mom and Dad. That will always be home. It'll always be here as long as they are alive and I can always come back. I will always have my own room and 3+meals a day and all the things that I can't afford that they give me. It's nice having something that not everyone is lucky enough to have. I'm grateful, apperciative, and count my blessings everyday to have such loving, giving parents.

Home is warm. Literally. It was 75 today and I FUCKING LOVED IT! I was in a t-shirt and flip-flops and there was no snow, ice, clouds, or coats. I basked in the warmth and soaked up the sun for soon it will end and it will act more like winter...in the 50's and 60's....HA!

We took my nieces to lunch today which was great because I love my nieces! They are two beautiful, smart, and funny girls! After that we went to Wegman's which is the mother of all grocery stores...it beats Trader Joe's in my humble opinion. Then we drove Richmond where my parents live. The house looks great. They have done tons of work on it and it's so cozy that it will be hard to leave! The just finished a huge family room that is just wonderful!

The evening was spent resting, cooking, and getting ready for the rest of the week. I go to the dreaded dentist tommorow. He's a used car salesmen type who is always trying to sucker you into getting things you don't need and telling you that your teeth are 2 mins from falling out of your head. I hate it and I highly dislike him as a dentist BUT he does decent work and he was fairly easy to get into. Most drs and dentists around here don't take new patients till some of their current ones die I think.

Wednesday is the eye doctor which means new glasses! Yea! I haven't had new glasses in 6 years and they are on their last leg I think. After that it will just be lots of xmas stuff and enjoying the city.

I hope everyone has a great holiday and make sure to drop me a line because I get bored after 9pm when the 'rents go to sleep....:)

Don't fly the friendly skies....

I HATE FLYING!

So flying is my least favorite activity I think. The plane rides were awful for the most part. Yes I've had worse and Yes it wasn't THAT bad, but I hate all of the germs and the people who think they are above everyone else and the nasty, rude airline employees.

Oddly enough, the TSA people were the nicest of them all this time around. Oh, except for the cute little gay, asian man I had for my attendant. He gave my extra pop, a better seat, and my own overhead compartment that no one else could use because I had some artwork for my parents in it. Being gay can have benefits!

I'm sure that some of these gestures would have been greatly reduced if the flight had been fuller but overall I got better treatment than the snobby, arrogant women....suck it BITCHES!
The best thing I heard from an airline employee was that it was against federal aviation laws to allow a person to travel on a different plan than their luggage. I recieved this answer when I tried to get on an earlier flight to DC from Denver. We all know that luggage FREQUENTLY travels on different aircraft than it's owner. She was just being a bitch.

The City

So on Saturday I left the quaint little mountain town for the "big" city. After spending a cumulative total of 4 hours on Friday digging out my car and her car, I was DONE w/ the north forty.

The big city of Spokane was a refreshing and welcomed sight. However, it's weird coming back to a city that you no longer live in. It's strange knowing that you can't go "home" and that "home" is now 3 hours away.

I spent some much needed time catching up with friends and running errands. I also did something that I'm still contemplating if it was the right thing to do. I'll leave it at that for now.
Now I'm off to the REALLY "big" city of Richmond, Va. Warm weather here I come....

Hatchet Story

How not to use a Hatchet:

Number 1

Do not use hatchet on hardwood

Number 2

Do not leave fingers anywhere near hatchet while using hatchet

Number 3

Do not wait to go to ER if you incur a wound with hatchet

So yea, in case you can't tell, I chopped my thumb w/ a hatchet. It's my first rural related injury. I'm not proud (well maybe a little) and yes, it hurts like a bitch. I'm not sure exactly what happend except that I chopped off the outer portion of my thumb and that it's a bitch to not have use of both thumbs.

If you want a detailed story, send me a message because it's pretty funny! If I get enough requests I'll post it on the blog;)
